Motichoor Ladoo is an Indian Sweets made up of crispy tiny balls prepared by deep-frying the gram flour (besan) and then soaking it in sugar syrup flavored with cardamom and eventually rounded in ladoos. The name Motichoor has been derived from the two words Moti meaning pearl and Choor meaning crushed – referring to the boondi which forms the sweet, more specifically the small fried round balls of gram flour batter.
Key Characteristics of Delightfoods Motichoor Ladoo:
1. Texture and Appearance: Motichoor ladoos have been incredibly soft and easy to bite, and the small boondi makes them look more like pearls. These are normally of bright orange or yellow color.
2. Flavor: Ladoo is sweet and not very sweet having the spices of cardamom and the flavor of saffron added to it. It is enriched with the use of ghee that is used in the preparation process.
3. Preparation: The besan batter is heated in oil or ghee to form tiny round droplets which are then soaked in syrup flavored and shaped in ladoos while still warm.
